Herzlichst

Many people talk about the need to establish a culture of failure in a team or company. They want employees to be able to unleash their potential and experiment.
This desire is nothing more than wanting something that is inherently in us, namely fallibility.
We can do meaningful work by seeing what already exists. Better is to stop the behaviours that make the obvious invisible.

Dezentralizierung!

“This is a historic moment for Daimler. It represents the start of a profound reshaping of the company. Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans and Daimler Trucks & Buses are different businesses with specific customer groups, technology paths and capital needs. Mercedes-Benz is the world’s most valuable luxury car brand, offering the most desirable cars to discerning customers. …Given this context, we believe they will be able to operate most effectively…”
While I was listening to the news in radio last week, I was hoping to hear “independent entities…” and it came, from Ola Källenius, CEO.
What can it mean for us?
Decentralization!
Sooner or later; whether we have 5, 50 or 500 teams, a company with independent team units can respond smarter and faster to the changes. They will be more effective and create a healthy company all around.
The important thing is that we do not fall into the illusion that we can control the uncontrollable complex system (company) from the headquarters/centre.
Independence, self-responsibility and self-management go hand in hand.

Thanks toNiels Pfläging and his organization Red42®, we have another valuable opensource social technology. Relative targets are an excellent gift for agile and beta companies who must deal with a highly dynamic market. You can use it in your team and organizational level.
